a secret about a secret

just as you know how much the horizon means to the sun –
you mean as much to me
in you heaven meets earth; in your endlessness i sink, where
every sunset i bid a luminous goodbye to the sky;
without you there wouldnt be night

amidst my infinite power you make me fall for you,
each and everyday; for eternity’s sake
without you i wouldn’t be the sun -
but a mere fireball stuck in the sky

not even time compares to you — you alone can sink my heart,
slowly, effortlessly; as if it was a fleeting moment,
a passing feeling — stuck, cherished,
forever moving my heart wouldn’t be mine…
it would be yours.

even the moon cant do what you do –
the tides you force are in my veins
parting the red streams in which your image flows,
the image of you that i will always keep in my heart.

i am
bound
to your gravity

  1. Diane Arbus once said, “A photograph is a secret about a secret. The more it tells you, the less you know.”

    same thing for poems… ;)
